We also read DICDL's live tender board twice this month, which is a document rather than an event, and recorded what was on it. A wire covering a government project has quiet months, and saying so is more useful than filling the page.
We opened the DICDL tender board on 11 August 2026 and found six live invitations, none of them awarded and none of them carrying a published estimated value.
An Ahmedabad club has bought 186 acres on the Dholera corridor, about 15 km from the airportDeshGujarat reported on 6 August 2026 that Rajpath Club has unveiled plans for a third campus on 186 acres near Varna village, close to Vataman Chowkdi on the Ahmedabad to Dholera corridor and about 15 kilometres from the airport under construction.
A 50 MLD desalination tender is on the board while a 200 MLD plant is being plannedDICDL has an open tender for developing a 50 million litre a day sea water reverse osmosis plant, and three weeks earlier it was reported to be starting the detailed project report for a 200 million litre a day plant. The two are four times apart in capacity and no source explains how they relate.
What we are watching this month
- The airport. A September to October operating target means August is the month for licensing and finishing work. Any announcement from the civil aviation regulator or from the company building the airport earns an entry here.
- The Tata chip fab. A late-2026 date for first silicon, meaning the first wafers run through the line, is widely repeated and unsupported, so the signals to watch are equipment moving in and trial runs starting rather than the calendar.
- The data centre policy. The test of a policy is registrations, so we are watching for the first Dholera projects actually signed up under the 2.5 percent capital subsidy announced in July.
- The desalination tenders. The 200 MLD consultancy closed for submission on 13 August 2026 and the 50 MLD plant closes on 3 September, so awards are the next real step.
- The expressway extension to Bhavnagar. The road minister said work would start within three months of 10 July 2026, which puts the check in October.
- Tata Electronics reported in talks with Merck for fab chemicals supply. Talks, not a deal; verifying primary coverage.
- India-UAE agreements reported to touch Dholera: airport development, a pilot training school, a smart township. Verifying scope and signatories.
- Lothal National Maritime Heritage Complex Phase 1 reported opening in July 2026 nearby. Verifying an official date.
- Tsingshan steel and EV-battery interest around Rs 21,000 crore remains reported, not confirmed.
- Aaiji Group announced Rs 100 crore along the Lothal-Dholera corridor. A company claim, recorded as such.
