NextGen Semiconductors outlines Rs 8,800 crore silicon and silicon-carbide platform at Dholera

NextGen Semiconductors has outlined a phased investment of more than Rs 8,800 crore for a fully integrated silicon and silicon-carbide power-semiconductor platform at Dholera, saying it has secured land, targeted works from April 2026, and is under India Semiconductor Mission review.

Carried by credible news outlets. No official document confirms it yet.

The company describes a wafer-to-power-electronics ecosystem aimed at electric vehicles, renewable energy, data centres and industrial electronics, with commissioning slated roughly 15 months after works begin and a reported collaboration with Hitachi Energy. Coverage also reports plans to raise Rs 1,000 to 1,500 crore over 12 months through equity and structured instruments.

This is a programme the company has announced about itself while it is still under review, not a project the central cabinet has approved. The label on this entry reflects that difference.
